Hi, my name is Hugh Redmond. In 2003 I was working 70 hours a week in my company, and had little time for socialising or even entertaining the idea of a relationship. Fed up, I went Speed Dating on the recommendation of a friend. Wow, was I surprised at how genuine my dates were, and how much fun I had with them . A month later, at my second Speed Dating event, I met a lovely woman. She picked me and I her. We were matched up through the site and happily dated for over a year. Two years later I organised a singles walk and met a wonferful lady who is now my partner in life. Outdoor events attract people of similar interests and are a great pressure-free way to meet people.The concept of speed dating is simple and it works! Encouraged by this great experience, I started hosting Speed Dating events in November 2003 and by late 2007, I was managing Ireland’s leading Speed Dating organisation. At this point 15,000 daters had attended our events, resulting in hundreds of relationships and many marriages. In January 2008, I started a new site – mysterydates – with the goal of making it fun and easy to meet new people through a greater choice of fun social and activity-based events.
